I'm faced with the (welcome) challenge to make a campaign world for Dungeons and Dragons. I have so many ideas... figuring out what'll be workable is a challenge, but I think I should have at least enough for character creation and hopefully a proper session by tonight. The broad theme is Orcs. They, broadly speaking, won. The immediate aftermath is at hand. I'll probably mix in some themes from the Mongol invasion of Kievan Rus, the fall of the Western Roman Empire, and a few other interesting bits of real history. I was tempted to pull out another old campaign setting I made years ago that never saw as much use as I liked (partly because the group split up as we all went to University), but I'd like to try for the "collapsed" feel that cyberpunk has as a genre, along with a racism and "semi-hostile empire" elements.
My blog webserver will be down tonight due to a scheduled power outage. If things look funny (even on lj), they'll be back to normal tomorrow.
For those of you who think in Unix time, happy 118.
