The joy of genetics

Leon's netdiary recently mentions his lung problems. Lorie has mentioned semirecently also having lung problems. I suppose that's part of the unfortunate side effects of coming from a small genetic subpool. I wonder if Jeff and Deb have okay lungs.

Was feeling bad about temperatures and my Igs, so I moved my portable heater to their side of the room. It leaves me kind of cold, but unlike them, when I'm cold I can actually do something about it (more blankets).

I'm feeling actually vaguely coughy recently, but it's just a minor irritation. It must be the season, or perhaps it's time to clean the Iggy cages. They smell. I'll do that tomorrow, I think. I've been doing a lot of sf/fantasy reading recently. Pretty soon I'll run out of my recent stash and need to go back to philosophy. Not that I mind :)

I'm thinking about starting a project to filter out the main voices from the favorite songs from musicals I like, and singing over it, recording it.

I'm hungry, and might need more groceries soon too. Last night, I ate the last of the riceish foods I got on my last trip to Meijer. And unlike all the other meals (I got a variety), this one really didn't work out too well. Hopefully I'll learn to avoid that particular meal at Meijer.

And, I suppose, as a counterpart to Quealy's declaration, my netdiary will often include drudge details of life. It's a reminder that no matter how much we idealize life, it still has a heck of a lot of uninteresting detail. Down with idealism! Up with idealism! Oh, I don't know. Up with the kind of idealism that is honest enough to stand the light of day. And boy was that an obscure reference. Only I am likely to get it, and perhaps as my memory of what it refers to fades, I will eventually no longer get it. Hint to self: jj

Idea: Take a picture of each night's scribble pad, and put it up here in place of an entry sometime. Problem: I no longer have a digital camera.Resolution: Darn it.

Oh well. Here's a bit of transcriptionJohn Gunn/Father
