I am in Sinusmisery. This is made more miserable by the fact that my upstairs neighbours appear to be part polar-bear, and turn off the (shared) heat every so often, causing the temperature to drop down to between 40 and 50 degrees. I realise that we share the heating bill, and I realise that it may be warmer upstairs because heat rises, but I am freezing my ass off. I turned the heat back up to 65 (I would like it at 80, but I won't force that upon them), and am making myself some tea. I can't take a warm bath because I haven't yet cleaned my bathtub (since moving in), so that's the best I can do for now.
For those in the medical know, why does sinus nastiness usually smell like ammonia? This has always been the case for me -- whenever my sinuses become unhappy, I smell ammonia on my breath. Also, to prevent my nose from constantly running, I tend to seal the nostrils it with tissue. Is this ok? .. Oh the joy of having family problems (mom's side) with sinuses.
Tomorrow, I will (seriously) seek medication to deal with this. I will then hopefully have productive studying, eating, and whatever. It'll probably be low energy, especially if I can't manage to fall back to sleep soon.
