Corn on the Cobbler

Yesterday, I swung by Squirrel Hill's market festival. It was pretty nice. I got a good variety of food, and almost bought some candlesticks from some other country. Today, I went to the Farmer's Market, and it was awesome. It was a lot smaller than the cool markets I saw in Amsterdam -- Europe is still far better than the states for that kind of thing. There were about 7 areas and about 10 vendors. Still, the stuff was excellent (and not too expensive). I got some Baklava and a freshly squozen Apple-Lemon drink for there, and some tomatoes and corn for later cooking. Next time I'll try some of the bread -- it looked fantastic. So much as is possible, I'd like to avoid buying food at Giant Eagle in the future -- the local smaller markets should be enough to get me most of what I eat.. .. the corn is great. It's been a long time since I've eaten corn on the cob or chewed on the shuck. The cats are having a grand time playing with the stringy bits...
