Two chunks of content worth checking out:
- A TEDTalk on lowering rates of infant mortality. What's remarkable is the speaker, who is one of the best, most charismatic public speakers I've seen. I'm not sure if most people could get away with some of the specifics of why he's a good speaker (I might be a bit embarassed to try). Go look!
- Larry Wall is speaking on campus today at 16:30 (GHC4401). Whether you like Perl (or any of the other things he's written, like "patch") or not, I can promise he's another entertaining speaker. If you're not in Pgh, there may still be time to strap on your wings!
