Several bits of awesomeness - much to my surprise, JasonM ended up in NYC (he randomly IMed me last night), which will make this NYC trip really awesome - I haven't seen him for ages, and he was a very close friend for many years. Hopefully we can also find a place to go clubbing after I'm done with Opera, and we can also catch up - I'm terrible at keeping in touch with people when they're not living in the same town as me, but things generally work out pretty well for visits. He also gave me some advice on parking and offered me a couch. Sweet! This vacation was something I was actually only half-decided to do, but over the last week I've felt less of an aversion to schedule and hassle (wanderlust picking up?) and it looks like it'll be great.

I've been listening to a lot of new music, filtering things to keep and things to toss - this, combined with my finding where my Neverending Story soundtrack is and re-ripping it makes for a lot of good listening. The Arrogant Worms are rather funny...

Apartment is reworked to give a lot more impression of space, and accordion is now in the living room to encourage me to play it.

I dug out the de-tarnish and have started to work my way through a big bag of silver silverware my mom gave me many years ago. I find it uniquely satisfying and awesome - there's something lagic about dabbing a bit of the goo onto a paper towel and after thirty seconds having a previously orange, dull area turn into shiny, reflective, beautiful silver. It's a big bag, so I'll probably be doing this for quite some time over several days. I love it. One of the things that's a bit odd about it is that some of the parts of silverware are things that one doesn't see commonly nowadays... (picture?)

Tomorrow will be a meeting with the neurologist regarding migraines, which I have a lot of hope about. Hurrah.
